PDX Fencing is delighted to once again invite saber fencers from around the world to join us at our Annual International Summer Hi – Performance Saber Camp 2024. We have welcomed and look forward to welcoming back fencers from Mexico, France, Spain, Canada, China, Australia, Korea, England, Germany, Japan, etc. All are welcome here. Its great to connect with like-minded fencers from around our planet.
This is a high performance camp for athletes preparing for the upcoming tournament season. Our camp is carefully designed to immerse the fencer in a world class training environment taught by world class, highly experienced coaches. Camp starts just after the fencing events of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Video analysis of several of those bouts and world cup bouts leading up to the Olympics will help motivate and help inspire fencers to strive to achieve their full potential.
PDX Fencing has a very active high performance group of adult and veteran fencers competing regionally, nationally and internationally. You are welcome to join in this camp or do several days at the day rate if you are not able to do the entire camp.
Our state of the art facility has air-conditioning, special flooring, full length mirrors so the fencer can self-correct, conditioning equipment, armory, on-site shop, class room area, projector, video capture, microwave and refrigerator.

Between all three coaches English, Spanish and French are spoken fluently. Fencers fluent in Korean, Chinese and Dutch will help with translantions as necessary.
Active warm up, daily fitness for injury prevention, footwork, high performance drills for tactics, tecnique, work in the box, offense and defense, reviewing current referee calls, nutrition, mental strength training, motivational exercises, video analysis of world cup and Olympic bouts from the most recent tournaments so fencers can see and understand how referees are making calls. A minimum of two current and active referees will be at camp. We will have limited guest passes availabe to participants to the employee stores of Columbia, Adidas, and Nike.
Bring: full electric gear, change of clothes for working out including change of shoes, lunch, water bottle. Vending machines on site with cold drinks and snacks. Minor age participants must have a written permission slip to leave the premises for lunch or any reason. Once anyone leaves the facility we are NOT responsible for that person.

An amazing inspirational week of fencing
PDX Fencing is based in the beautiful Pacific Northwest region of Portland, Oregon, USA. There is world class fencing in saber (and all three weapons of fencing); food, sight seeing, river rafting, wine tasting, kite surfing, skiing and spectacular beaches. Home of Nike, Columbia Sportswear, Adidas North America and Underarmor, there is world class sports activities along with the best athletic wear in the country. Portland has no sales tax so making this a great place to shop for the best athletic wear made. We will have employee store passes for several of these companies for camp participants.
Getting here is easy: Fly in to Portland, Oregon, USA (airport code PDX). Our airport is used to welcoming fencers from all over the world. Our location is about 20-25 minutes from the airport.
